Winter

The northeast has been overloaded with snow storm after snow storm. I think were all feeling up to our eyeballs in it. I'm trudging along much likes these deer, just trying to keep my head above water and make a little headway. One step forward two steps back. Patience needed in all pursuits these days.

In the bleak midwinter Frosty wind made moan,
Earth stood hard as iron, Water like a stone;
Snow had fallen, snow on snow, Snow on snow,
In the bleak midwinter, Long ago.

Tunnel Vision

National Museum Liverpool
I haven't been around too much. 2011 has been filled without much head space for extras. Like this young man it's all about getting my work done. Sometimes there's a lot to do, but once you get the initiative and organization the checklist can get ticked off at a pretty fast rate. Other times the responsibility can be communal and through a collective effort things get completed. That's not the case this time around. The responsibility lies solely on my shoulders and nothing can be accomplished in a quick manner and everything has a deadline. This means I need the stamina to keep going till its completed. Unfortunately, unexpected things keep popping up and taking time away from my already too shabby schedule. I become overwhelmed and shut down and then nothing gets down. I've come to the conclusion to get beyond this I need to adjust my head space and have a little tunnel vision. So for now its head down, eyes focused and hope for the best!
Wishing everyone a fruitful and productive January!
